JME ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To be admitted into four (4) year B.Sc. Programme, the candidate must have the University general entry requirements, which include pass at credit level in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) or the National Examination Commission (NECO), or the General Certificate in Education Ordinary Level (GCE O/L) in five subjects including an approved science subject obtained at not more than two sittings. In addition to the general University entry requirements, candidates must have obtained credits in the SSCE or GCE O/L equivalent and NECO in Chemistry, Biology or Food and Nutrition or Agricultural Science with credit in English Language.

DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Matriculation requirement in the relevant subject plus advanced level passes in Chemistry and Biology (Botany or Zoology).

National Diplomas and other acceptable/recognized Diplomas holders with credit passes in Botany or Agricultural Science and Chemistry may be admitted into year one of the degree programme. Higher Diplomas or NCE in Home Economics or any other related area with credit passes in Biology or Agricultural Science and Home Economics may be admitted into the second year programme.
